After breakfast, head south to the Hobbiton Movie Set, a must-visit for any fan of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Begin with a visit to Te Puia, home to the famous Pohutu Geyser, which erupts daily, shooting boiling water up to 30 meters into the air. Walk through the bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and hot springs that define the landscape. You’ll also visit the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, where traditional Maori artisans demonstrate carving and weaving. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of a Maori village, where you will learn about Maori traditions, mythology, and history. The day concludes with a chance to witness a haka performance, the traditional Maori war dance, before returning to your hotel.
