Itinerary order and specific stops can vary due to winter road conditions, park access and weather. Winter activities (snowshoeing, lake access) are subject to safety conditions and may be replaced with alternatives.
Day 1: Vancouver → Okanagan / Kelowna Region → Salmon Arm / Revelstoke (Overnight)
Start the morning from the Vancouver/Richmond area and travel east through the Fraser Valley toward British Columbia’s interior. As landscapes shift to snowy mountains and lakes, continue along the Okanagan corridor with scenic views over Okanagan Lake. Enjoy a wine tasting stop (seasonal/availability dependent) before continuing to your overnight hotel in the Salmon Arm or Revelstoke area.
Day 2: Revelstoke → Rogers Pass → Banff (Gondola)
After breakfast, drive through dramatic mountain scenery via Rogers Pass and enter Banff National Park. Ride the Sulphur Mountain Gondola for panoramic winter views over the Bow Valley and surrounding peaks. Enjoy some free time in Banff town for cafés, boutique shops and winter photo spots before your overnight stay in Banff.
Day 3: Banff Winter Highlights
Spend the day exploring Banff’s classic winter sights. Depending on route and weather, visit Johnston Canyon or Marble Canyon for icy gorge scenery and short walks, then continue to scenic viewpoints such as Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos formations. Include an external view of the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel before returning to your hotel for overnight in Banff.
Day 4: Lake Louise + Yoho National Park (Emerald Lake)
Travel to Lake Louise for a winter experience that may include guided snowshoeing on snow trails (weather permitting). Continue into Yoho National Park with scenic stops such as the Spiral Tunnel viewpoint, Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge — all striking in winter conditions. You may also pass Vermilion Lakes viewpoints for reflective mountain scenery before returning for overnight.
Day 5: Lake Louise Ski Resort Time → Scenic Stops → Calgary (Tour Ends)
Spend time at Lake Louise Ski Resort with optional experiences such as tubing, gondola rides or helicopter sightseeing (optional, payable directly). Continue sightseeing with winter viewpoints such as Abraham Lake-style stops (routing dependent) and Lake Minnewanka before arriving in Calgary in the evening, where the tour concludes.
