This Privacy Policy explains how JainVoyagers Inc collects, uses, stores, protects and discloses personal information in connection with travel enquiries, bookings, websites, customer support, OTA reservations, supplier operations and related services.

It applies to information provided directly to JainVoyagers and information received through OTAs, travel agents, resellers, payment providers, suppliers or other legitimate booking channels.

JainVoyagers handles personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy requirements, including federal and provincial private-sector privacy requirements where applicable to the activity.

Important: This Privacy Policy should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Booking & Refund Policy, Cookies Policy and any booking-specific privacy notice presented by an OTA, supplier or payment provider.

Our privacy practices are structured around accountability, identified purposes, appropriate consent, data minimization, appropriate use/disclosure/retention, accuracy, safeguards, openness, access and complaint handling.

3. Personal information we may collect

The information collected depends on the service requested, booking channel, itinerary, destination, traveler profile and operational requirements.

Traveler details

Name, title, date of birth or age where needed, nationality, passport/identity details where required for a supplier or travel service, and traveler names included in a reservation.

Contact

Communication details

Email address, telephone number, registered booking number, country code, postal address and communications through email, telephone, SMS, iMessage, WhatsApp or OTA messaging where applicable.

Booking

Travel & itinerary data

Booking references, service dates, hotels, pickup/drop-off points, flight/train information, group composition, rooming, vehicle requirements, tickets, activities and itinerary preferences.

Payment

Transaction information

Payment status, amount, currency, invoice information, transaction references and refund details. Full payment-card credentials may be handled directly by a payment processor rather than stored by JainVoyagers.

Service needs

Special requirements

Dietary requests, accessibility requirements, mobility needs, child-seat requirements or other information voluntarily provided to arrange a suitable travel service.

Website & technical data

IP address, browser/device information, cookie identifiers, page activity, referral information, error logs and similar technical data collected through websites or digital systems.

Sensitive information: JainVoyagers asks clients to provide sensitive personal information only where reasonably necessary for the requested service. Please avoid sending unnecessary medical, identity or financial information through unsecured channels.

4. How personal information is collected

Information may come directly from the traveler or from legitimate intermediaries involved in creating or delivering the reservation.

5. How JainVoyagers may use personal information

Personal information is used only for identified, appropriate business, travel-service, security, support and legal purposes.

JainVoyagers does not treat a travel booking as permission to use personal information for unrelated purposes. Information may be used to plan, confirm, deliver, support, secure, account for and resolve issues relating to services and legitimate business operations.

6. When personal information may be disclosed

Travel requires information to move between the booking company and the suppliers that deliver the service.

  • Hotels, accommodation providers, drivers, vehicle operators and chauffeur companies.
  • Local guides, attraction operators, activity providers, ticketing partners and destination suppliers.
  • Airlines, rail, ferry, cruise or other transport providers where relevant to the service.
  • OTAs, travel agents, resellers and corporate travel contacts connected to the reservation.
  • Payment processors, banks and payment-security providers.
  • Technology, hosting, email, communications, CRM, analytics and customer-support providers acting for legitimate operational purposes.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, payment-dispute bodies and legal/regulatory authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.
Data minimization: JainVoyagers aims to disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the recipient to perform the relevant booking, support, security, payment or legal function.

7. OTA bookings, suppliers & international processing

Travel bookings frequently involve third parties and destinations outside the province or country where the booking was made.

  • JainVoyagers may receive traveler names, registered contact details, booking references, service details, pickup information and messages from an OTA.
  • JainVoyagers may send operational updates, attendance/no-show information, cancellation status and relevant dispute records back to the OTA where necessary.
  • The OTA has its own privacy policy for information it independently controls.
Cross-border

Travel data may be processed internationally

When a trip, supplier, technology provider or payment provider is located outside Canada, personal information may be processed in another jurisdiction and may be subject to lawful access under that jurisdiction’s laws.

Operational necessity: Some international disclosure is inherent in arranging international travel and may be required to perform the requested booking.

8. Payments, card information & financial records

Payment information is handled according to the payment method used and the systems of the relevant processor or OTA.

10. Service communications & marketing

Operational travel communication is different from optional promotional communication.

JainVoyagers may contact travelers about booking confirmation, payment, pickup, itinerary, changes, delays, safety, cancellation, refund, complaint or other matters reasonably necessary to administer a requested service.

Where required, marketing or promotional electronic messages are sent with appropriate consent or another lawful basis. Recipients may use the unsubscribe method provided in the communication, subject to limited service messages that remain necessary for an active booking.

11. Data retention & deletion

Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably required for the identified purpose, operational need, dispute period, accounting requirement or legal obligation.

No system is risk-free: JainVoyagers cannot guarantee that any internet transmission, email, messaging service, OTA platform, third-party supplier or electronic storage system is absolutely secure.

13. Access, correction, consent & privacy rights

Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, individuals may request information about personal information held about them and seek correction of inaccurate information.

Access may be limited where disclosure is prohibited, would reveal another person’s information, is legally privileged or an applicable law provides another permitted exception.

14. Children & information supplied by guardians

Family travel may require limited information about children so appropriate services, tickets, rooms, vehicles or safety arrangements can be provided.

  • Parents, guardians or authorized lead travelers should provide only information reasonably necessary for the child’s travel service.
  • Child age may be required for tickets, room occupancy, vehicle seating or supplier eligibility.
  • JainVoyagers may rely on the adult making the booking as authorized to provide the child’s required booking information.

15. Privacy incidents & data breaches

Suspected loss, unauthorized access or disclosure of personal information is assessed according to applicable legal and operational requirements.

Links or integrations with third parties do not make JainVoyagers responsible for information those independent organizations collect for their own purposes.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

JainVoyagers may update this policy to reflect changes in services, technology, suppliers, operational practices or applicable privacy requirements.

The updated version becomes effective from the date stated in the revised policy. Where a change materially affects existing rights or uses of personal information, additional notice or consent will be provided where required by applicable law.
